Core Combat Schedule Update
The Core Combat HQ is based in Mawdesley, Lancashire, England for directions click here.
Training at the HQ will now run from 7:45pm to 9:00pm on Monday nights and we will have one session per month on a Saturday.
The Saturday session will be for Black Belts from other clubs to start learning at adapting Core Combat Principles to the Core Art they currently train in.
Please look at the Training system for what is covered.
The Cost for the Saturday and Monday sessions is free to CC Monthly members and £15 for non members.
GrandMaster Sken Seminar; 5th February 2011 in Lancashire
The BCA and Core-Combat are pleased to announce a seminar with MuaY Thai Grandmaster Sken.
This is a great opportunity to train and learn with one of the worlds Muay Thai Greats
The seminar will cover creative aspects of Muay Thai and Muay Boran and its implications to self defence and self protection.

Herol Bomber Graham Seminar on Friday 11/11/11
On November 11th We will be welcoming back the Legendary Herol “Bomber” Graham to teach a Boxing Seminar.
Main Concentration points will be Boxing Fitness, movement and flow, combined with pad work and body Boxing,

BCA Rick young Master Class
We are please to announce a Martial Arts Seminar with Rick Young on the 25th June 2011 at Bishop Rawstorne CE Language College in Croston, Lancashire.
Rick will be teaching is X-Training approach to Martial arts with a strong linkage to the various disciplines contained in the Filipino art of Kali.

Ricks Bio is as follows;
Rick Young has been studying martial arts since 1975. Beginning his training under Shaun Shanley Rick then began to study Wado Ryu Karate along with Western boxing and grappling. In 1979, when he was seventeen, Rick first met and became a student of the legendry Dan Inosanto.
In 1984 Rick travelled to Los Angeles California to train with Guro Inosanto and other prominent martial artists. Since then Rick has travelled to the Inosanto Academy at least once but usually twice a year. In 1995 (The certificates were backdated to 1993) Rick was awarded his full instructorship By Sifu Inosanto in Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino martial arts. This made him the first person outside of the USA to be given this honour.
Some of the countries Rick has trained and taught at include Australia, the USA, Brazil, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland and all over the United Kingdom. He has been featured in numerous martial arts publications including Martial arts illustrated, Combat, Grappling, Fighters and fighting arts international. Rick trains and teaches in Edinburgh Scotland at the world renowned Rick Young Black Belt Academy.

Peter Consterdine Open Course
Core-Combat and the BCA are proud to announce
a Seminar with The Legendary
Peter Consterdine
on Saturday 11th December!
Peter will be discussing Self Protection and the law and showing techniques and drills from his famous training days!
This will be very much hands on so bring plenty of water, gloves and pads!
The course will run from 1 – 4 and will be located in the village of Mawdesley in Lancashire
The price will be £25 for BCA members and £30 for none members

Welcome to Core Combat, since our formation in 1994, we have been dedicated to the coaching of
- Self Defence &
- Self Protection
drills and techniques which were derived from core arts, such as
- Karate
- Western Boxing
- Kick Boxing
- Jeet Kun Do
- Kali
- Torite Jutsu
- Dim Mak
- and Jun Fan Gung Fu.
Our Goal is to deliver effective useful SD/SP Training for all our students and staff, we do this whilst continuing to enhance and develop our Training Methods and Techniques for this purpose we are closely linked with the highly acclaimed British Combat Association.
Core Combat is the self protection arm of the Karate Jutsu Association, the only control over its member clubs is via knowledge transfer and best practices.
We do however ensure our instructors are graded via Dan Ranks and are certified as Instructors with both Core Combat and the British Combat Association.
Our constitution is such that we dont profit from our activity and all contributions are invested back into the association to grow its member base and skill set.
